Ongoing Classes and Gatherings
Our 2026 Summer Classes and Camps are packed with exciting opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities! For a full day option (ages 8-18), campers can register for both a morning and afternoon camp and pack a lunch!
Opportunities include:
Monday and Tuesday evening: Family Dance and Creative Movement classes (ages 1-7)
Wednesday evening: Dancing with Wheels and Adult All Abilities Dancing classes (ages 11+)
Friday morning: Family Dance and Dancing with Baby classes (ages 0-5)
Week-long Monday through Thursday camps:
“Dance a Story” adventures (ages 4-7)
Morning Dance Perspective Camps (ages 8-18) exploring movement and connections to other art forms (details below)
Afternoon Variety Dance Camps (ages 8-18) exploring multiple dance styles

Dance Composition: July 6-9
In this creative dance-making class, students will discover their artistic voice through choreographic activities, improvisation, and collaborative reflection.
Afro-Latin Fusion: July 27-30
Explore the dynamic style of Afro-Latin dances, building rhythm, technique, and creative expression while celebrating connection and individuality.
All Abilities Dance and Stories: August 10-13
In this joyful camp, youth of all abilities move, imagine, and create together, exploring storytelling, collaboration, and self-expression through dance.
Music and Movement: August 17-20
Campers groove, move, and playfully explore how to bring music to life through dance while building creativity, coordination, and confidence.
Young Dance is a nonprofit dance school located in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. Our mission is to transform lives through movement. Our approach to dance education centers on artistic expression, creativity, and a deep investigation into the art form. In exploring elements of Body, Action, Space, Time, and Energy through an array of techniques, students develop self-awareness and critical thinking skills through dance. We are an inclusive community where creativity flourishes, encouraging personal and artistic excellence through diverse forms of dance. At Young Dance, we believe that everyone can (and should) dance.
