The Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project is seeking a part-time Communications and Operations Coordinator or Intern. This is a great entry-level position for those looking for a broad introduction to arts administration, marketing, and general non-profit operations. The ideal candidates will be able to begin in late January, but applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. 

The Communications and Operations Coordinator is a multifaceted role responsible for shoring up the logistical and operational foundations of the organization. This position is responsible for all Threads online marketing and promotions. The position provides broad exposure to a variety of arts administration careers—opening the door for future exploration. This position is 75% onsite and 25% virtual with set on-site hours. 

Competitive candidates should be proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva and basic computer literacy and marketing tools. The Communications and Operations Coordinator must also have reliable transportation to the Threads Dance Nexus and availability to work on site every Monday from 4:00-6:00pm, and every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30-7:30pm.
