Creative Movement
Children 5-7 years old
Saturdays, 9:00-9:45 am
A complete immersion into the joys of creative exploration! Through interdisciplinary arts activity and structured improvisation, we build movement skills–balance, coordination, flexibility and strength—and vocabulary, while children explore their 5 senses and imaginations. Children gain mastery in critical problem-solving through a methodology built on the Elements of Dance. All the while joyfully connecting with others through playful curiosity. When provided with live drumming, classes integrate music education and music-making.
Breath and Boogie
Youth ages 8-11 years old
Saturdays, 10:00-11:000am
An hour of movement, fun and friendship! This class incorporates Ms. Alanna’s signature integration of foundational, classical western and West African dance technique with mindfulness. Classes begin with a dynamic and flowing warm up, continue through groovy phrase work, and end with guided stretching. I improve your children’s balance, coordination, flexibility and strength, making this class unique for advanced dancers, athletes and gymnasts as well as beginning movers.
