The performance pays homage to various facets of Krishna’s life through intricate gestures, varied expressions, and rhythmic footwork. One of the performances introduces Dasavatara, the ten primary avatars of Vishnu the Preserver. Krishna is one of the avatars, and a major protagonist of the Indian epic Mahabharata. Each act brings to life the multifaceted persona of Lord Krishna: The Mischievous Infant, The Protector, The Friend, and The Divine Lover. The program ends with “Dance of Divine Love” or “Raas Leela”. This timeless act narrates the enchanting tales of Lord Krishna’s playful and divine interactions with Radha and the gopis (cowherd girls).
