Rhythms of Krishna is a celebration of devotion, story telling, and artistic grace expressed through the rich traditions of two exquisite Indian classical dance forms. Experience the elegance of Mohiniyattam from Kerala and the expressive dynamism of Bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu brought to life by renowned danseuse and choreographer Chandreyee Basu Thakur and her talented disciples.

The performance pays homage to various facets of Krishna’s life through intricate gestures, varied expressions, and rhythmic footwork. Witness tradition come alive in a mesmerizing blend of music, movement, and myth, where every step tells a story. Rhythms of Krishna promises an unforgettable evening steeped in cultural richness and spiritual depth.

One of the performances introduces Dasavatara, the ten primary avatars of Vishnu the Preserver. Krishna is one of the avatars, and a major protagonist of the Indian epic Mahabharata. Each act brings to life the multifaceted persona of Lord Krishna: The Mischievous Infant, The Protector, The Friend, and The Divine Lover. The program ends with “Dance of Divine Love” or “Raas Leela”. This timeless act narrates the enchanting tales of Lord Krishna’s playful and divine interactions with Radha and the gopis (cowherd girls).
