North View Middle School in Brooklyn Park has a unique teaching opportunity that fills an exciting need for our students. We are seeking a Dance Teacher for two sections of an elective dance class for 7th and 8th graders. Because this is an elective course, every student enrolled wants to be there! We also have a beautiful brand new dance studio in our building.
Position Details
Duration: Full school year (end of August through June 14), following all standard school breaks like MEA, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break
Position Type: Salaried Position
Requirements: A traditional teaching license is not required, but candidates must hold a 4-year degree.
Class Schedule (Part-Time):
7:50-8:42am: Prep/Planning period
8:46-9:36am: 1st Hour (Dance)
9:40-10:30am: 2nd Hour (Dance)
10:30am marks the end of the part-time workday. If the candidate requires benefits, we can potentially add a 3rd class section to make it a medical benefits-eligible position.
10:34-11:04am: Lunch
11:08-11:58am: 3rd Hour (Dance)
11:58am marks the end of the full-time workday.
