Performances and Events

See a new dance performance, My Face, My Feet, and the Bird, inspired by Ann Wolff: The Art of Living at the American Swedish Institute​ and performed during the First Look exhibit opening. This work is directed and choreographed by Laurie Van Wieren and features dance artists Judith Howard, Dexter Carlson, Margaret Ogas, Alys Ayumi Ogura, Judee Shui Xian, and Jinza Thayer, with music by Michelle Kinney and Nick Gaudette.

Saturday, February 15 schedule from 7:00-10:00pm
7:00pm: Cocktails in the lobby, with music by The Stylites: Michelle Kinney, Chris Cunningham, Nick Gaudette and Joe Strachan.
7:30-8:00pm: Panel discussion about ​the experience of making art at varying ages. Moderated by ASI’s Inga Theissen with Laurie Van Wieren, Laurie Jacobi​ and more.
8:00pm: Audience is released into the mansion.
8:15pm: 25-minute dance performance.
8:40: Repeated 25-minute dance performance.
Music by The Stylites to finish in the lobby and chat with the dancers.
10:00pm: End of event
