Natalia is a Brazilian performer and creator based in Spain since 2017. Her dance training developed within the university context (UNICAMP) and the contemporary scene in São Paulo. Since then she has had many experiences and has created work and taught in in countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the
US. In 2017, she began to research what she calls the Invented Anatomy method, which is a way of exploring and really connecting to the body through imagery and imagination. With this research she has collaborated with Jesús Rubio Gamo, Celso Gimenéz/La Tristura, Poliana Lima, among others. Her most recent creation, El Carnaval No És Alegre – TINY-DESK, premiered at the TNT Festival 2023 and at Conde Duque – Madrid.
Natalia is currently in residency with Ruby Josephine Dance Theater, creating a new work on the company to be presented as a part of their three-piece show at The Southern Theater, September 27-29, 2024.
