Chicago dance artists Erin Kilmurray and Kara Brody return to Minneapolis to offer a workshop that is part dance practice and part creative play!

This class dives into the physicality and themes of their longform duet, Knockout – a fierce contemporary dance duet powered by high-femme silhouettes, boy-ish horseplay, toothful camp, and athletic, anti-hero energy.
Participants will be guided through a sensation lead warm up, practice (learn) dynamic floor phrase work, and apply these materials towards experimentation in tension, proximity, play, and negotiations of power in a queer-affirming and community-motivated atmosphere. Come twirl!
Recognized as “two of Chicago’s most captivating performers” (Chicago Tribune), their long-form duet, Knockout, will be presented as a Minnesota premiere this summer at Red Eye Theater, July 11-12.
