Join Tapestry Folkdance Center and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for the second season of Dancing in the Park, a free outdoor social dance and live music series at Harriet Island Regional Park.
Across eight Tuesday evenings from June through September, participants can experience a diverse range of participatory dance traditions including Contra, Cumbia, Bal Folk, International Folk Dance, English Country Dance, Latin Ballroom, Nordic Dance, and Polka. Dances are led by respected Twin Cities instructors and accompanied by live music from acclaimed local ensembles including Chico Chavez Orchestra, Orkestar Bez Ime, KJ Quartet, Lauluaika, and the Ukrainian Village Band. Each evening begins with a beginner-friendly lesson followed by social dancing—no partner or prior experience required.
Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00pm, June 9–30 and August 18–September 8, at the Harriet Island Wigington Pavilion Patio in St. Paul. Learn more at TapestryFolkdance.org/dancing-in-the-park.
