Join Colombia Live in collaboration with Tapestry for a vibrant four-week dance series exploring the rich cultural traditions of Colombia through movement, music, and rhythm. Each session focuses on a different region of the country, offering participants an immersive experience into Colombia’s diverse folkloric styles. No prior experience needed—just come ready to move and connect!
Wednesdays, 8:00-9:30pm:
August 13 — Andean Region: Discover the intricate footwork and lyrical movements of Andean dances, celebrating the mountainous heart of Colombia and its deep-rooted cultural expressions.
August 20 — Pacific Region: Experience the energetic, percussive styles of Colombia’s Pacific coast, where African heritage is honored through powerful rhythms and dynamic choreography.
August 27 – Caribbean Region, Mapalé: Close the series with Mapalé, an Afro-Colombian dance known for its fast tempo, explosive movements, and vibrant energy—guaranteed to get your heart pumping!
