Call for Performers: Summer Outdoor Dance Project

I, Alys Ayumi Ogura, am looking for 2–4 dancers/movers for a short performance piece that I will be presenting at an upcoming outdoor dance festival in Minneapolis on the evenings of Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19. I will be hosting movement workshops/soft auditions from 3:00-5:00pm on Sunday, June 2.

Project Details

• Rehearsals: Once or twice per week, probably starting Friday, June 6—one evening each week plus either Friday or Sunday afternoon, to be finalized later.
• Applicants: Ideal candidates are responsible, comfortable with improvisation and weight-sharing, and open to new ideas and collaboration. We’ll rehearse and perform outdoors on grass, which means being prepared for bugs, sun, heat, etc.
• Stipend: $300
• Performance Dates: Evenings of Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19
• Performance Length: 6-7 minutes
