Winona State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance is hiring part-time adjunct instructors to teach in-person Dance and dance-related experiential courses for the Spring 2026 semester and beyond.
Potential subjects could include technique and/or choreography within and across: African, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, additional non-western forms, and somatic coursework rooted in foundational practices like Pilates, Yoga, Feldenkrais, and Alexander Technique.
Minimum qualifications include: A terminal degree in Dance (MFA or PhD) or a terminal degree in any field with significant dance teaching or performance experience, and three years of experience teaching dance.
Applicants with expertise and approaches grounded in non-western epistemologies are especially encouraged to apply. Adjunct faculty are selected based on program needs and the depth of the applicant’s subject matter expertise.
