Studio Space Available in South Minneapolis

The Jawaahir Dance Company Minneapolis location is conveniently located at 3010 Minnehaha Ave, next door to the police station. Only two blocks from the Lake Street/Midtown light rail station, and on the 7, 21, 27, and 53 bus routes. Over 2000 square feet with windows, two mirrored walls, and a sprung hardwood floor. Off-street parking and bike rack.

$20 per hour. Rate quoted is for dance-related rentals only. Sorry, no party rentals and no dance socials. No Irish shoes or tap shoes permitted. Rental fees may change at the discretion of Jawaahir.

Our office and practical-use space leases range from 150 square feet to 2,000 square feet and serve a wide range of professions (a cultural center, a PR firm, fine artists who lease studio space) in a historic downtown landmark. Additional amenities include great views, ample nearby paid parking lots, key card access, and like-minded neighbors.

Threads Dance Nexus – A Space to Connect and Create

The Threads Dance Nexus is a brand new community hub that not only provides a home for Threads Dance Project, but also strengthens the social fabric of our Minneapolis community through the connective power of dance.

Our 1,480 square foot space has a professional-grade speaker sound system, sprung floors, barres, and mirrors; is ADA compliant, and has two gender-neutral changing rooms. Its large windows and garage door allow for an abundance of natural light and fresh air.

Conveniently located in the Seward neighborhood, we offer free parking and free side street parking. We are a five-minute walk from the Franklin Light Rail Station, and a 2-5 minute walk from the nearest bus stops (lines 2, 9, 22, 67).

To request space, please email nexusrentals@threadsdance.org. A nonrefundable deposit equal to one hour at the renter’s base rate is due to secure space.

Renting TU Dance Center Studios

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming.

TU Dance Center features:

Reception area and front desk for check-in or event use; access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request.

Both studios: sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin, wall of mirrors, portable ballet barre units 10′ in length, room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs, 50′ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing. Large windows providing ample natural light.

Studio 1 only: a curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror, wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Studio 1: 60′x34′
Studio 2: 46’x21′

Rental Fees:
Individual Artists: $18/hour
Nonprofit Organizations: $22/hour – rehearsals

Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St. Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location.

Studio 1 has 1700 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, sky lights, and three chandeliers.

Studio 2 has 550 square feet of sprung wood floor.

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • Two long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains. Access to kitchenette area available upon request.

Single Rental:
Studio 1 – $30/hour
Studio 2 – $20/hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental:
Studio 1 – $20/hour
Studio 2 – $15/hour

Payment for rental bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your booking to hold your reservation. A signed rental agreement and certificate of insurance must be provided prior to your reservation.
