Studio Space Available in South Minneapolis

Over 2000 square feet with windows, two mirrored walls, and a sprung hardwood floor. We are fully set up to handle your online Zoom classes and have many morning and daytime openings for you to come and hold or record your classes or rehearsals!

The Jawaahir Dance Company Minneapolis location is conveniently located at 3010 Minnehaha Ave next door to the police station. Only two blocks from the Lake Street/Midtown light rail station, and on the 7, 21, 27, and 53 bus routes. Off-street parking and bike rack.

$20 per hour. Rates quoted are for dance-related rentals only. Sorry, no party rentals and no dance socials. No Irish shoes or tap shoes permitted. Rental fees may change at the discretion of Jawaahir.

Renting TU Dance Center Studios

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming.

TU Dance Center features:

Reception area and front desk for check-in or event use; access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request.

Both studios: sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin, wall of mirrors, portable ballet barre units 10′ in length, room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs, 50′ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing. Large windows providing ample natural light.

Studio 1 only: a curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror, wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Rental Fees:
Individual Artists: $18/hour
Nonprofit Organizations: $22/hour – rehearsals

Office and Artist Studio Space Available

Located on Hennepin Avenue and just a block away from the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue light rail stop, The Cowles Center offers the perfect opportunity for your small business to be a part of downtown Minneapolis.

Our office and practical-use space leases range from 150 square feet to 2,000 square feet and serve a wide range of professions (a cultural center, a PR firm, fine artists who lease studio space) in a historic downtown landmark. Additional amenities include great views, ample nearby paid parking lots, key card access, and like-minded neighbors.

Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St. Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location.

Studio 1 has 1700 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, sky lights, and three chandeliers.

Studio 2 has 550 square feet of sprung wood floor.

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • Two long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains. Access to kitchenette area available upon request.

Single Rental:
Studio 1 – $30/hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental:

Payment for rental bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your booking to hold your reservation. A signed rental agreement and certificate of insurance must be provided prior to your reservation. Short-Term Rentals at Red Eye Theater in Seward

Red Eye Theater is now booking short-term rentals.

Short-term rentals are by the day or by the hour, and are intended for rehearsals, technical residencies, low-tech showings, auditions, film shoots, photo shoots, meetings, readings, small events, lectures, etc. In the near future, we encourage small, non-public, Covid-safe events!

Space requests for short-term rentals are ongoing, and we’ll respond to you within 24-48 hours. We have some availability and are booking requests from now through July.

Rent Creative Space at The Arena

Located in the heart of the LynLake community, The Arena is available for your rehearsal, class, and event needs!

Our space offers 1,305 square feet (30×40) of sprung floor, Marley dance flooring, full wall-length mirrors (with curtains for covering if preferred), free wifi and a changing room.

We are situated on multiple bus lines, including the 21, 4, 23, 612, 18, with plenty of free, street parking around the building.

Rent the Young Dance Studios

Young Dance has two large studios available for rent in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul. Easily accessible by the Green Line light rail, the 16 and 67 Bus Lines, and with ample parking in the Fairview Business Center parking lot. The space is fully ADA accessible with ramps to the sprung studio floor and automatic door openers. 

Rentals are available between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, after 4:00pm on Saturday, and all day on Sundays. 

The studios are newly equipped with sprung Harlequin Marley flooring, a bluetooth speaker system, and wifi. There are no mirrors. The studio has a clear COVID safety plan including regular disinfecting of all floors and surfaces, as well as a new HVAC system which refreshes the air 7-8 times per hour. Renters will also have access to a large lobby (25’ x 29’) and up to 50 chairs. 

Studio 1: Measures 41′ x 38′ and rents at $25/hour
