Rent the Young Dance Studios

Young Dance has two large studios available for rent in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul. Easily accessible by the Green Line light rail, the 16 and 67 Bus Lines, and with ample parking in the Fairview Business Center parking lot. The space is fully ADA accessible with ramps to the sprung studio floor and automatic door openers. 

Rentals are available between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, after 4:00pm on Saturday, and all day on Sundays. 

The studios are newly equipped with sprung Harlequin Marley flooring, a bluetooth speaker system, and wifi. There are no mirrors. The studio has a clear COVID safety plan including regular disinfecting of all floors and surfaces, as well as a new HVAC system which refreshes the air 7-8 times per hour. Renters will also have access to a large lobby (25’ x 29’).

Creative Space for Rent at The ARENA

Located in the heart of the LynLake neighborhood, The Arena is available to rent for your rehearsal, class, and event needs!

$20/hour for rehearsals and $25/hour for class or audition offerings. Negotiable for long-term inquiries.

Our space offers 1,305 square feet, 30’×40′ of sprung floor, Marley dance flooring, wall-length mirrors (with curtains to cover if preferred), free wifi, and a changing room.

We are situated on multiple bus lines, including the 21, 4, 23, 612, and 18; with plenty of free street parking around the building.

The Arena Winter Session Registration Opens December 6 with Holiday Specials

Come join us at The Arena for youth, adult, and professional dance offerings.

Winter Session: January 3-April 9; thirteen weeks.
No classes February 28-March 6.

Specials for the holiday season, good through December 22:

Adult Classes

Wednesdays
6:30-7:30pm – Capoeira
This class is for ages sixteen and older. Enrollment is encouraged, as skills develop throughout the session.
$195 pre-enrollment encouraged for full session – a $26 savings!

10-class Flex-Card holiday special: $150 – a 10% savings for all drop-in class options, normally $17/class.

Tuesdays
9:15-10:00am – Pilates Mat
10:00-11:30am – Moving Practice: investigations within contemporary forms
4:00-5:00pm – Gyrokinesis Method

Fridays
10:00-11:30am – Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary Technique

Youth Classes on Saturdays
9:00-9:45am – Creative Movement: 4-8 years of age
10:00-10:45am – Dancing Together: 2-5 years of age

Renting TU Dance Center

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming.

TU Dance Center features:

Reception area and front desk for check-in or event use; access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request.

Both studios: sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin, wall of mirrors, portable ballet barre units 10′ in length, room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs, 50′ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing. Large windows providing ample natural light.

Studio 1 only: a curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror, wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Threads Dance Nexus – A Space to Connect and Create

The Threads Dance Nexus is a brand new community hub that not only provides a home for Threads Dance Project, but also strengthens the social fabric of our Minneapolis community through the connective power of dance.

Our 1,480 square foot space has a professional-grade speaker sound system, sprung floors, barres, and mirrors; is ADA compliant and has two gender-neutral changing rooms. Its large windows and garage door allow for an abundance of natural light and fresh air.

Conveniently located in the Seward neighborhood, we offer free parking and free side street parking. We are a 5-minute walk from the Franklin Light Rail Station, and a 2-5 minute walk from the nearest bus stops (lines 2, 9, 22, 67).

To request space, please email nexusrentals@threadsdance.org. A nonrefundable deposit equal to one hour at the renter’s base rate is due to secure space.

Extended rentals may be eligible for additional discounts on a case-by-case basis.
General usage (for-profit, events, etc.): $22 per hour
501(c)3 / Individual artists: $20 per hour
BIPOC / College students: $18 per hour

Mirrors – Windom Neighborhood Pickup

Studio closed – we have the following mirrors for sale, make an offer!

Mirrors are hung in channel track (not glued to wall), easy to remove and move to new location with the right tools. I have moved several mirrors and will share best way to move and items needed with buyer/s.

Mirror sizes:

Four 4-foot mirrors in various widths. $60 each or best offer.

  • Two are 4’x4′
  • One is 39-1/2″x4′
  • One is 38″x4′

Four 7-foot mirrors in various widths. $280 each or best offer.

  • Two are 4’x7′
  • One is 50″x7′

Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location.

Studio 1 has 1700 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, sky lights, and three chandeliers.

Studio 2 has 550 square feet of sprung wood floor.

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • Two long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains. Access to kitchenette area available upon request.

Single Rental:
Studio 1 – $30/hour
Studio 2 – $20/hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental:
Studio 1 – $20/hour
Studio 2 – $15/hour

Payment for rental bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your booking to hold your reservation. A signed rental agreement and certificate of insurance must be provided prior to your reservation.
