Young Dance is excited to dance with you this summer. We are offering a full schedule of programs, including weekly Creative Movement and Dance Together classes, as well as an exciting menu of 4-day camps featuring a variety of styles with some of the Twin Cities’ best educators.

Cassandra School In-Studio and Online Classes

Join our dance-learning community of all ages, sizes, and levels of experience to participate in the creative expression and health and fitness benefits of Middle Eastern dance! The beauty of this dance form is that it makes you feel wonderful in your own body.

All of our classes are ongoing and we have in-studio options for all dancers of any level. Drop-ins and walk-ins are welcome to join our in-studio classes at any time. Or, you may choose to take these same classes LIVE, online through Zoom.

MotionArt Adult Modern Dance Classes

MotionArt’s mission is to share the art of dance and the joy of movement with people of all ages and abilities. We strive to enrich lives by fostering creativity, body awareness and self-expression in a fun, non-competitive, welcoming environment.

We offer ongoing dance classes in-studio, on Zoom and outside, weather permitting. Paying the regular rate helps keep our organization afloat; however, no one will be turned away for inability to pay. There is also an option to pay what you can.

FELDENKRAIS® Classes with Krista Langberg and Jeffrey Wells

Live and in-person, FELDENKRAIS® classes continue all summer long!

Due to popular demand, we will be continuing to teach Awareness Through Movement® classes on Friday mornings at East Lake Aikido in South Minneapolis. It is a drop-in class, so come when you can! Open to all levels and abilities. No registration required. Details below.

The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education uses gentle movement and directed attention to help people learn new and more effective ways of living the life they want. You can increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover your innate capacity for graceful, efficient movement. Since how you move is how you move through life, these improvements will often enhance your thinking, emotional regulation, and problem-solving capabilities.

Black Label Movement – Company Class

Join us for company class Friday, June 10 with Artistic Director Carl Flink and/or Wednesday, June 15 with Company Mover Sarah McCullough.

Classes will dig into our Black Label movement aesthetic, as well as Limón technique and improvisation.

All classes will take place at the Barker Center for Dance from 9:00-10:30am.

Adult Drop-In Classes at Ballet Co.Laboratory

No matter if you are a veteran dancer or slipping on your first pair of ballet shoes, Ballet Co.Laboratory is an artistic home for everyone. With 11 different adult drop-in classes offered each week, including conditioning and Pilates, we know we have the right class for you! 

Join us in-person or virtually via Zoom. All dancers must sign-in on Mindbody. Class sign-in will close 10 minutes before class begins. Single class and 10-class cards are available and parking is always free!

Erin Thompson Teaches Advanced Contemporary Classes In Person and On Zoom

Erin’s advanced level contemporary hybrid class through Zenon Dance School includes floor work, standing warm-ups, and phrase work, all designed to enhance the healthy use of joints and muscle groups as dancers release their weight fully into the support of the ground. Experiential awareness, body mapping, improvisation, and creative work are included as dancers channel their own expressive artistry within the movement. The delightful Dean Magraw will accompany on guitar.

TU Dance Center: Children & Teen Program | Summer 2022

The TU Dance Children & Teen Program introduces the joy of creative movement and beginning dance technique.

Classes, divided by age, provide a comprehensive base on which to expand by developing body awareness, coordination, balance, flexibility, strength and musicality.

4) Submit a 2022 Children & Teen Summer Program online registration form.
