TCB: Openings for a Male Company Dancer, Apprentices, and Trainees

Twin Cities Ballet has an open company position for a male/male-identifying dancer. Soloist and Principal level, competitive salaried position, 34-week season. Strong classical ballet, partnering, and contemporary skills required. You must be eligible to work in the United States. 

We also have limited openings for unpaid apprenticeships and student trainee positions for both male and female dancers.

  • Your resumé.
  • Two photos: 1) First arabesque and 2) a headshot showing at least 3/4 face. Either attach small format photos or provide a link.
  • Video link showing classwork or performance clips, clearly demonstrating your classical ballet technique.

AMP is looking for dynamic and expressive movers for projects as part of our upcoming 2022-23 season. We are seeking passionate, authentic, and curious movers who want to work collaboratively, immerse and challenge themselves with a wide range of material, and continue their artistic development through working with a variety of artists. If this is you, come “Move BIG” with AMP!

Ideal candidates to join our community of artists should have a strong sense of your individual/unique movement point of view and possess an inquisitive and investigative nature rooted in community-building. All genders, races, and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition. Movers selected as Company Members will be independent contractors. Stipends will be contracted based on the amount of time and involvement within each project and performance. Benefits also include free weekly movement practice, when offered.

Alternative Motion Project serves as a catalyst to empower and connect individuals and communities through the art of contemporary dance. AMP presents accessible, compelling, and collaborative dance experiences through performance + education programs.

Video Submissions

Interim School Manager Wanted at Ballet Co.Laboratory

Ballet Co.Laboratory is currently seeking an Interim School Manager for The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory.

This leadership position will work in conjunction with Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Artistic and Managing Directors to lead the artistic and administrative duties for the School. The Interim School Manager will curate curriculum, manage school staffing/scheduling, build enrollment, oversee student involvement in productions, and serve as the lead communicator for all school activities. This position also works alongside the Performance Ensemble Director and Outreach Manager to create community engagement performances.

The Dancing Wheels Company is Seeking Full-Time Company Dancers

The Dancing Wheels Company is seeking full-time company dancers for the 2022/23 season. Preferred candidates should be proficient in stylized techniques (such as ballet and modern), have a unique quality of movement, possess skills for partnering, and be able to work collaboratively and improvisationally.

Dancers must be willing to train in any style or genre of dance, travel to perform nationwide and internationally, and work full-time. Workdays (when not on tour) are Monday-Friday 10:00am-3:00pm. Pay scale is commensurate with experience; paid holidays and vacation time are included.

Audition Date: A private audition must be scheduled in advance.

Highland Park High School Seeks New Dance Teacher

Highland Park High School, an International Baccalaureate school, is looking for a new dance teacher!

This is currently a part-time position teaching two dance classes — a Beginning/Intermediate and an IB Dance class. Beginning/Intermediate class is one semester for grades 9-12 and the IB class is a 1-2 year class for grades 11-12. Both classes cover elements of choreography and performance as well as explorations of multiple dance styles. The IB class also participates in the IB Testing regimen, including performance, research and choreography. This is a rewarding opportunity to bring dance to students’ daily academic studies. 

The current teacher, Matthew Keefe, can provide resources and guidance as needed for the incoming teacher. Resources have also been archived in the school systems for easy access. The Cowles’ premier dance workshops and residencies are taught in-person and virtually across North America. Cowles Center Teaching Artists are professional dancers, choreographers, and experienced educators who use innovative approaches to bring dance into classrooms and community spaces through our Arts in Education programs.

Collide Theatrical Season Auditions

Collide Theatrical is holding general auditions for their 2022/2023 performance season, starting in August 2022 and running through May 2023.

Collide is a professional dance company with a mission to tell narrative stories through movement. Seeking classically trained jazz dancers with strong ballet technique. Acting skills a must. Additional backgrounds in tap, hip hop, and acro a plus. All roles are paid, $15-$20/hour DOE and $75-$100 per performance.
