Choreographer Taja Will is looking for a Project Manager for their upcoming local premiere of LINEAS de SANGRE, a dance film, screening at the Trylon Cinema December 2, 4, and 9, 2021.
Timeline:
Ideal start date is on or before November 1, through the wrap up and debrief of the premiere. There is a possibility to extend the contract through an online screening premiere in early 2022. The Project Manager will be needed for all three of the local screening dates.
Approximate Hourly Commitment:
First through third weeks of November: 10 hours per week
Fourth week of November through second week of December: 20 hours per week
Subject to change based on time management, familiarity with tasks and other intersecting situations that make accomplishing tasks easier or more complicated. (Including the planets!)
Tasks/Duties:
The Project Manager will be responsible for composing a newsletter announcement, assisting with communication with the venue, communications with the core team of collaborators, social media announcements, merchandise sales, and helping with ticket sales at the screenings. They will also assist with planning a post-screening reception at another venue on one of the premiere dates.
The nature of the work is emergent, meaning new tasks and needs will arise as the project gets closer and it is likely those tasks will be delegated, in part, to the Project Manager. Asking questions, finding creative solutions and time management are all skills that are valued in the role.
The ideal candidate is local and has easy access to a car. Additionally, the person in this role will have a sense of what is needed to work with a disabled/chronically ill artist, or is willing to learn how those needs are different from working with an able bodied artist. QTBIPOC folks encouraged to apply, because the majority of the company of collaborators are brown and queer, as is the company culture. Compensation:
Variable based on experience, and gas reimbursement.
