Workshops, Intensives, and Master Classes

As part of our Regional Gathering on Dance Education & Disability: A Practice of BelongingYoung Dance is pleased to offer a hybrid session (open to both an in-person and virtual audience), presented by Colorado-based organization, Feel the Beat.

Body tapping is a simple, adaptable rhythm practice that gives dancers a physical entry point to music—no auditory access required. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore intentional rhythmic touch as a tool for building timing, body awareness, and musical confidence in inclusive dance classrooms. Grounded in Feel the Beat’s work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing dancers, this session offers practical strategies any educator can bring back to their own teaching right away.

This session is open to anyone interested in learning and sharing.
