Very Berry Layered Like an Onion is this work’s working title. Alys Ayumi Ogura has been dancing and creating her own work in the Twin Cities for the past decade. She has taken the opportunity presented by the Rosay Simas Danse Artist Residency to research, analyze, and develop her artistic influences, as well as her own creative process. This work-in-progress highlights themes of nostalgia and exploration.
