Join us for “A Guide to All Abilities Dancing”, led by Young Dance Executive Director and Teaching Artist, Gretchen Pick.
Designed for Teaching Artists, this training introduces the core concepts and activities that form Young Dance’s approach to creating an inclusive and welcoming dance-learning environment. Participants will receive a teaching manual at the end of the training.
Young Dance has been integrating dancers with and without disabilities in the creation, exploration, and performance of dance since 2010. We offer classes for dancers of all ages, in many forms of dance, and across all programs we empower individuals of all abilities to explore the possibilities of their own movement—both individually and in community with others. As one parent shared: “This is the most radically inclusive thing I have ever experienced.”
