Renewal invites audiences into the process of reconstructing “lost” dance works, offering a rare, up-close look at how choreography is preserved, reshaped, and passed forward.
Featuring an intergenerational cast of local performers, the program highlights selections from seldom-seen dances by visionary Minnesota choreographer Loyce Houlton, including the intimate Troth (1969) and the monumental Song of the Earth (1977). This deconstructed performance reinterprets historic works in real time through a blend of live dance, film, and dialogue.
