La Conja, based in New York City, is one of the Flamenco world’s most versatile artists. Given her multicultural background (an American born of Egyptian parents with a Turkish surname), La Conja has naturally melded Arab, Spanish, and Indian musical influences into her work. Read more about La Conja here.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Angela Rancone’s Flamenco journey started with Zorongo in 2021. She owes her training to the mastery of Susana di Palma, Colette Illarde, Sachiko “La Chayí,” Ross Fellrath, and her other compañeras with whom she dances. Read more about Angela here.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
