Twin Cities Flamenco Collective is a group of flamenco musicians and dancers inspiring audiences through passionate and soulful expressions of flamenco music and dance along with guest artists from all around the world. Members are guitarist Ross “El Vecino”, dancers Sachiko “La Chayí”, Eva Makiko and La Gracia. This is part of TCFC’s monthly residency at Icehouse MPLS.

José Cortés was born in the south of France into an important gypsy family from Almería. He was immersed in the world of flamenco with the greatest artists and has shared the stage with many greats. An incredible and traditional artist, José Cortés Fernández surprises us now by taking a step forward in his conception of flamenco by making pure flamenco live alongside other genres.
Anna “Mamá de Los Gatos” began studying at Anda Flamenco, where she is currently a company member, in 2016. She also studies with Sachiko “La Chayí” and at Zorongo Flamenco, and travels yearly to Spain to take classes at Festival de Jerez. When she is not dancing, Anna is an active volunteer and Fundraising Director at Bitty Kitty Brigade, a neonatal kitten rescue. She also cares for hospice cats.
